Setup Guide

Everything you need to deploy EchoDepth Events at your next tradeshow or exhibition.

Pre-Event (2–4 Weeks Before)

  1. Zone mapping: Submit your stand or venue floor plan to events@cavefish.co.uk. The Cavefish team will recommend camera placement for up to 6 zones per unit.
  2. Dashboard account setup: You will receive dashboard login credentials 1 week before the event. Complete the zone naming and configuration in the dashboard.
  3. Alert configuration: Set confusion signal alert thresholds and notification recipients in the dashboard settings.

On-Site (Venue Setup)

  1. Hardware delivery: The edge processing unit and camera(s) are delivered to your stand location before the show opens. Cavefish provides a loaned hardware kit for the duration of the event.
  2. Power connection: The edge unit requires a standard 13A socket. Camera units connect via USB-C.
  3. Network connection: A standard venue WiFi connection or 4G SIM (provided) is sufficient for dashboard data transmission. No high-bandwidth connection required — only derived signal scores are transmitted, not video.
  4. Camera positioning: Follow the zone placement guide included with the hardware kit. Optimal height: 2.0–2.5m. Camera angle: frontal to 45-degree offset. Avoid positioning cameras facing direct light sources.
  5. System test: Run the self-test via the dashboard before the show opens. Green status on all zones confirms the system is operational.

During the Event

Access the live dashboard on any device via the provided URL. Review zone scores at the start of each day. Respond to confusion signal alerts using the protocol agreed during setup. Share dashboard access with your stand lead.

Post-Event

The post-event report is delivered within 5 business days. Hardware return packaging is provided with the kit — simply pack and return via the pre-paid label.
